Invitation - Salon de l'emploi / Career Fair - RSVP this Friday

Dear ÉSIS students,

You are invited to a Career Fair organized by the students from Université de Montréal’s École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l'information (EBSI) and McGill University’s School of Information Studies (SIS).

The event will take place Thursday, March 17th, 2011 at the Grande Bibliothèque (Montréal).

The registration fee is $20 per student and it covers the costs of a registration kit and refreshments.

RSVP by Friday, March 11. Send an email to Anne-Frédérique Champoux at anne-frederique.champoux@mail.mcgill.ca.

CLA-CASLIS Ottawa and LANCR / ABRCN invite you to kick off the festive season in style!
It’s time once more for Ottawa’s information professionals to get together to celebrate the season! Catch up with old friends, meet new people, and network, network, network!

Come share a cocktail with us at Ottawa’s original “Fusion Restaurant”. Savana Café is known for offering tropical cuisine inspired by flavours and spices from the Caribbean and South-East Asia. Sit by the fireplace and enjoy.

A 50/50 draw will be held. 50% of funds raised go to the charity of the winner’s choice! Tickets are: 1 for $2, 3 for $5 and an arm’s length for $10.

Please note non-alcoholic drinks are also available.

Soirée portes ouvertes de la CLA - le 28 octobre
Kelly Moore, directrice administrative de la CLA, vous invite à la 10e soirée portes ouvertes annuelle de la CLA qui aura lieu le jeudi 28 octobre.
Venez célébrer la clôture du Mois canadien des bibliothèques et venez voir le nouveau bureau de la CLA de 16 h à 19 h.
Le nouveau bureau se situe au 1150, promenade Morrison, bureau 400, à Ottawa (Ontario).(Morrison est au sud de la 417 et de la Pinecrest).
Aucun R.S.V.P. n'est requis pour y participer.

CLA-CASLIS NGN event

I hope everyone is doing well. Canadian Association of Special Libraries and Information Services (CASLIS) Next Generation Network is a group for students and new information professionals. They are hosting an event next week.

The CLA-CASLIS Next Generation Network invites you to join us for a fun, free evening of food, speakers and discussion with a twist - a pecha kucha night! The challenge: for each speaker to present 20 slides with only 20 seconds per slide.
