CLA-CASLIS NGN event

I hope everyone is doing well. Canadian Association of Special Libraries and Information Services (CASLIS) Next Generation Network is a group for students and new information professionals. They are hosting an event next week.

The CLA-CASLIS Next Generation Network invites you to join us for a fun, free evening of food, speakers and discussion with a twist - a pecha kucha night! The challenge: for each speaker to present 20 slides with only 20 seconds per slide.


When? Wednesday May 12, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Where? Ottawa Public Library - Main Branch (basement - follow thesigns)

  1. huh. On the Facebook posting for this event, they describe it goes on from 6:30-8:30pm. I guess some will either be late or early!

  2. The event starts at 6:30pm. That's what I posted... :) Yes, I will probably go since both of my mentors are involved in organizing this event. They're both recent U of T iSchool grads and they're both very nice.

  4. Great! I talked to one of the event organizers and she said it is a great networking opportunity. There are a couple of people who got their jobs in this department (Industry) because they met one of the people attending the event.
